I decided that I wanted to share some of the ideas that I have learned from my experiences working with children with a wider group of educators. I will be releasing these easy to follow curriculum books for each month of the school year. How to use this curriculum bookFirst, this curriculum book is not just a list of lesson plans! This book leaves you, the teacher, room to come up with and design your own activities while giving you an idea of what to do each day across the entire month. There are questions to think about during each center or activity. These will help you assess the students along the way.You can mix these ideas up to what fits the daily schedule at your school/center.The ideas included in this book for Circle and Outside activities/lessons are designed with Large groups in mind, but can be adjusted for smaller groups. The activities for Art, Math, Writing and Science are designed as small group activities of groups of 3 to 5 students. Each month’s theme starts on the first Monday of the month. This guide is for the month of February, and conveniently enough the first Monday in February of 2014, 2015 and 2016 is also the first school weekday of the month. But with only some small adjustments they can be used anytime. This book outlines ideas for the following activities/centers for each week:A New Dramatic Play theme for the entire week.A Circle Activity for every day of the week.An Art Center Activity every day of the week.A Math Center Activity three days a week.A Writing Center Activity two days a week.An Outside activity three days a week.A Science Center two days a week.
